Now more than ever, our ally needs us to stand tall
Regrettably, Eric Cantor’s actions confirm the worst of what grassroots conservatives dislike about a Washington Republican leadership that is more interested in protecting its own than in promoting conservative principles and candidates.
We also know that over 45 percent of the people in this country don’t pay income taxes at all, and we have to question whether that’s fair. And should we broaden the base in a way that we can lower rates for everybody that pays taxes.
Love has already won support from Republican House leaders. House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, R-Va.; House Majority Whip Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif.; and Wisconsin Rep. Paul Ryan, the leading Republican budget hawk all gave money to Love early in her campaign.
This is an important step in our continuing effort to make government more accountable, accessible and transparent, especially when it comes to the expenditure of taxpayer dollars

where are you Washington ... We need an America to counter this extreme threat.
President Obama obsessed with taxing millionaires. But how about giving the middle class a tax break instead? Eric Cantor wants to do just that. But Democrats are vowing to stop him, and the president will veto his suggestion.
I think that all of us know that in this country, we’ve not always gotten it right in terms of racial matters, religious matters, whatever. . . . To sit here and say in America that we’ve got it all right now, I think that pretty much all of us can say we’ve still got work to do.
Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.) and Democratic Whip Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) are the central players, but Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) was described as committed to some resolution before the end of May, when both the bank’s authorization runs out and it is expected to hit its current $100 billion cap.
What we want to do in a permanent way is effect broader tax reform ... But since we can't see eye-to-eye on that, since we've still got work to do, let's give the small businesses some help now.
Like the Buffett rule, the Eric Cantor-backed tax cut has no chance of passing both chambers and ending up on the president's desk.
We should not be taking money out of the hands of those we are counting on to create jobs ... We need to let small-business owners keep more of their hard-earned money so they can start hiring again.
April 16 might be tax day, but this year it’s also the start of the campaign season on Capitol Hill, with Democrats kicking off the fireworks by charging that a small business tax bill backed by House Majority Leader Eric Cantor will benefit the likes of Kim Kardashian, Oprah Winfrey and smut publisher ...

I actually don't know much about Eric Cantor at all, but if he is emblematic about Republican ideology, I would say none.
Again, I'm not commenting on it
My beef with the Republican leadership represented by Eric Cantor is that I think they want to fundamentally change the tax structure so that we have less revenues to support the safety nets that I think represent the compassionate side of this country
I don't want to discuss that
They’re back and less popular than ever… Paul Ryan -- a.k.a. The Medicare Mangler. a.k.a. The Safety Net Shredder. a.k.a. The Badger State Benefit Bandit. And Eric Cantor -- the Congressman who still sleeps at his old GW frat house.
I made a commitment to a colleague of mine way back and I felt it was necessary to live up to the word that I gave my colleague
But at the same time ... there are some great conservative leaders – Tom Coburn, senator from Oklahoma, former secretary [John] Ashcroft (a great conservative leader), Eric Cantor who’s majority leader in the Republican Congress — these three leaders, among many others, have endorsed my campaign.
